about me
My name is Jason Mohan. This page describes more about me, my work experiences, and ethics. So if you really feeling bored, read on. I’m working for a health care company as the Director of IT. I’ve included a brief history about me, my experience, and how project tracker was born.
My history:
I was born and brought up in good ole (that’s that southern accent kicking in) Houston, TX. When I was a kid my dad, used to get upset at me all the time, because I loved to take apart toys and put them back together. One of my favorite toys was armitron (not the watch company), not sure if they make it anymore. It was a toy crane that could pick up things by moving the jog sticks. My first computer was a IBM PS1, with not hard drive, one 1.44 floppy drive, and 512 of RAM. All the programs I need had to load into RAM, as there was no hard drive. My second computer, and bascially when I started to get interested in computer was a packard bell computer with Window 3.11 for workgroups. Ever since then, I’ve always been interested in computers, and continually learning.
You can never learn enough. Learn by doing. That’s why I have my own home server lab, where I test new software, and try out stuff in a live environment, and apply what I learn at my current job. My second and probably most important belief is that never show pride. Someone is more knowledgeable than you in any one given area, no matter how much you think you know. Alway learn, give back to the community, and help others. That’s why I maintain this blog, hoping it would help others on questions I had.

Tracker Project: This was a college project (University of Houston) that I started back in the days. I created this project in ASP in an effort to learn ASP for a programming class. I built a basic test version, but never released it to the public. Then in 2008, I wanted to learn php, and mysql, so I took up this project again, and decided to rewrite it completely from the ground up in php, and learn php that way. I plan on releasing the helpdesk software soon. Keep an eye out for it on the front page.
